Free in-home water test
Find out exactly what's in your water.
Our free in-home water test checks your actual tap water for hardness, chlorine, iron, TDS, and more, and tells you exactly what your home needs. No obligation, ever.
Local water
Why a water test is worth it here.
The metro sits on some of the hardest municipal water in the country. Hard water is only the beginning. The city treats its supply with chloramines (harder to remove than plain chlorine), and water from rural wells in the surrounding area carries iron, sulfur, and sediment that city treatment never touches.
The result: scale buildup inside water heaters and pipes, spotted fixtures and glass, chlorine taste in drinking water, and for well households, staining and odor that no off-the-shelf filter will fix. A free in-home test takes the guesswork out. We measure your actual water, not a neighborhood average, and tell you what it takes to fix it.
See the system lineup or read about well water treatment if you're on a private well.
What we test
Four things we look for every time.
Hardness & minerals
Water in the metro runs hard. Calcium and magnesium leave scale on fixtures, inside water heaters, and on glass. We measure your exact hardness level.
Chlorine & chloramines
The city treats its water with chlorine and chloramines. Both affect taste and smell, and chloramines are harder to filter than most people realize.
Iron, sulfur & sediment
Critical for well-water households, and city water carries iron too. We test for dissolved iron, hydrogen sulfide, and sediment that can clog fixtures.
TDS (total dissolved solids)
A single number that captures everything dissolved in your water: minerals, metals, salts, and more. Useful before and after any filtration system.

The fine print
Genuinely no obligation.
Pure Water Co is family-owned by Carson Hall and Nick Fosheim, two local guys who also run a window cleaning company. They started Pure Water Co because they saw how much the water around the metro could be improved and wanted to fix it for their neighbors, not to run a high-pressure sales operation.
The free in-home water test exists to give you real information about your water. If the results show you need something, we will tell you plainly what it is and what it costs. If we don't think you need a full system, we will tell you that too. The visit has no strings attached.
Financing is available if you want to move forward. See the financing page for terms. Or just book the test and we'll answer every question in person.
