System

Reverse osmosis water from every tap in the house.

For homeowners who want the highest level of water quality throughout their entire home, not just at the kitchen sink, the whole-home RO package delivers RO-quality water to every fixture.

Whole-home RO package for your home.

An under-sink RO system delivers highly filtered drinking water at the kitchen tap. A whole-home RO package takes that further. A high-capacity reverse osmosis system treats your entire supply line, so the water in your showers, laundry, ice maker, and every faucet throughout the house meets the same standard. For homeowners with serious water quality concerns, families with immune-compromised members, or households with very hard or heavily contaminated source water, whole-home RO is the highest-performance option available.

Because RO removes virtually all dissolved solids, including hardness minerals, a whole-home RO installation typically eliminates the need for a separate water softener. Many installations also include a remineralization stage after the membrane to add back beneficial minerals at controlled levels and improve the neutral taste of highly purified water.

Whole-home RO systems require more infrastructure than point-of-use RO: a larger membrane array, a pressurized storage tank sized for household demand, a repressurization pump, and pre-filtration stages. We design every system based on your free water test results and your home's peak demand. All equipment is NSF-certified and installed by a licensed plumber. We serve homeowners throughout the Omaha metro, including Elkhorn and Omaha.

What's included

What you get.

  • Comprehensive free water test

Whole-home RO design requires detailed knowledge of your water chemistry. We test TDS, hardness, iron, pH, bacteria, nitrates, and other relevant parameters.

  • High-capacity RO membrane array

Sized for your home's peak daily water demand. Not a residential sink unit scaled up, but a properly engineered whole-home system.

  • Pre-filtration stages

Sediment and carbon pre-filtration protects the membranes from fouling and extends their service life significantly.

  • Pressurized storage and repressurization pump

RO membranes produce water at low pressure. A pressurized storage tank and pump ensure adequate flow throughout the home.

  • Optional remineralization

Adds controlled levels of calcium and magnesium back to RO water to improve taste and provide beneficial minerals stripped by the membrane.

  • NSF-certified equipment and licensed install

All membranes, housings, and components are NSF-certified. Installed by a licensed plumber with full code compliance.

How we do it

The Pure Water Co way.

  1. Comprehensive free water test

We test for TDS, hardness, iron, bacteria, and other parameters. Whole-home RO design starts with complete information about your water.

  3. Licensed installation

Our licensed plumber installs at the main supply line, including pre-filtration, membranes, storage tank, and repressurization pump, in a dedicated mechanical space.

  4. Full system commissioning

We test TDS at multiple points in the house, confirm flow rate throughout, verify pressure, and walk you through the complete maintenance schedule.

FAQ

Whole-home RO package questions.

Homeowners who want RO-quality water throughout the house, not just at the kitchen sink. It's most common for well households with complex water quality issues, families with health concerns that call for the highest water purity standard, or homeowners building or renovating a high-specification home.

Yes. Because RO removes dissolved minerals including calcium and magnesium, a separate softener is not needed. The system effectively addresses hardness and most other contaminants simultaneously.

Yes, significantly. It's a larger, more complex system. We never discuss specific pricing outside our quote process because every system is sized and configured differently. The right way to understand your investment is to schedule your free water test first.

A properly sized repressurization pump maintains household pressure at normal levels. We size the pump to your home's peak flow requirements during system design.

Pre-filters typically need replacement every 6 to 12 months, membranes every 2 to 5 years depending on water quality and usage, and post-filters annually. We give you a full maintenance schedule specific to your system.
