How we install

How we get clean water into your home.

Free water test, then a custom recommendation, then a licensed-plumber install, then Pure Care. The same four steps on every project.

Step 1 · Water test

Free in-home water test, first.

The free in-home water test is where every project starts. We come to your home, test your water at the tap, and show you the results on-site. Hardness, chlorine, iron, bacteria, whatever your water is throwing at you, we see it in real time.

There's no lab wait, no charge, and no obligation. The test results are yours whether you move forward with us or not.

Most homeowners are surprised by what they find. Water in the metro runs hard, significantly harder than most cities, and that hardness accelerates appliance wear, leaves scale on fixtures, and changes the way water tastes and feels. The test makes it concrete. Read more about what's in your water on our water quality blog.

We check the most common local water quality concerns in one visit.

No charge, no obligation

The test is free whether you move forward with us or not.

Step 2 · Recommendation

A recommendation built around your water.

After the water test, we sit down with you and walk through the results. We recommend the system that matches your actual water: your source (city or well), your home size, your household.

We don't have a quota. If your water is borderline, we'll tell you that. If you need a full softener-plus-carbon combo, we'll explain exactly why. The goal is the right system for your home, not the most expensive one we carry.

Every recommendation includes a clear explanation of what the system does, how it's installed, and what Pure Care covers on the back end. See the full system lineup or browse systems and plans.

Step 3 · Install

Licensed plumbers, NSF-certified media.

Every install is done by licensed plumbers using NSF-certified equipment and media. Our crew is background-checked and uniformed, so you know who's in your home before they arrive.

Most whole-home installs take a few hours. We protect the work area, install to code, and walk you through the new system before we leave. The plumber stays until you're comfortable with how it works.

Equipment is sourced through Honest Water Co and installed to manufacturer spec. We pull the necessary permits and handle the process, so you don't have to coordinate anything.

Walk-through before we leave

Step 4 · Pure Care

Ongoing maintenance, handled for you.

Once your system is in, Pure Care keeps it running clean. We handle filter changes, salt delivery, and priority service on a set schedule, so your system stays at peak performance without you having to think about it.

Pure Care is billed by card on file and designed to be invisible. You get clean water every day. We show up when the filters need changing. That's it.

If something comes up between scheduled visits, Pure Care members get priority scheduling. See the Pure Care plans and read about what's included.

RO filter changes

Scheduled filter changes so your drinking water stays clean without reminders.

Salt delivery

We keep your softener stocked, so no hauling 50-pound bags.

Priority service

Pure Care Plus members get priority scheduling when something comes up.

FAQ

Process questions, answered.

We test for the most common concerns in local water: hardness, chlorine and chloramines, iron, pH, and bacteria where relevant (especially for well-water homes). The results are on-site and immediate.

No preparation needed. We bring everything we need. Just have access to your kitchen tap, where most tests happen.

Most whole-home softener and filtration installs take two to four hours. More involved systems, like well-water treatment or whole-home RO, may take longer. We'll give you a timeline before we schedule.

Yes. Every install is done by licensed plumbers. Our crew is also background-checked, uniformed, and insured. The same standard on every job.

NSF International sets the standards for water treatment equipment safety and performance. NSF-certified media and components have been independently tested and verified, so you know what we install actually does what we say it does.

Pure Care covers RO filter changes, salt delivery, and priority service scheduling on a set annual cadence. It's designed so you never have to remember to maintain your system.
